At the end of the day, the fact that Bayverse SS is at like. And that's a gross miscalculation on Hasbro's part, I'd say. all these checklists keep getting created before a single existing checklist is finished, and we all go on forever until we get burnt out. So yes, I do want to see priority given to finishing something, so it CAN be put to rest, ahead of things that are just getting started on.īecause now it's an endless cycle of. By the simple matter of Studio Series predating Legacy and its attention to other series, I want to see it *finished*. If you're going to start something, get 2/3 of the way through it, and then for all intents and purposes go full stop on it, then that should be called out. But I do think that broken promises should be viewed as such - and I agree that this ties back to Hasbro. First off, in regard to one series versus another - I am in no way arguing for preferential treatment of anything. Why shouldn't it happen to you? I mean, what makes you so special that you shouldn't be swept under the rug along with the BW/BM fans, the UT fans, etc? You're just now getting to experience it, so the wound is fresh, but you're like the rest of us and have to realize this is business, not personal, and we never mattered to Hasbro outside of a paycheck.Ĭlick to expand.I agree with this - but I think context is super important here. You guys weren't a part of the fandom until the movie came, and when it did, all prior fans were brushed aside in the search for more money. That's not gatekeeping, that's not saying you're not real fans. They'd do it for Bayverse if it came first. To expect otherwise is ridiculous and silly and you know it. Of course, they're going to cater heavily to G1. Instead of being mad at Geewunners, be mad at Hasbro for being a fickle mistress.Īlso, everyone involved in this particular part of the conversation seems to forget that it's the 40th anniversary. When you finally give the pre-existing (meaning before the movies/Bayverse, not that you're fake fans) fan base something they've wanted for a long time and it's successful, Hasbro's going to go after it.
